Queenborough to Lloyd's Wharf

30th October 2019

Another wait - for light winds and the high tide that will give enough water at the head of Milton Creek.  It's many years since a sailing barge went as far as Lloyd's Wharf and preparation work included marking some of the bends and potential obstacles with 'withies'.  On the big day the short journey was carried out with great skill by skippers Ian Ruffles and Beccs Polden - Rob and 'Shiner' helping to keep Raybel  in the narrow channel with a small 'tug' and Matt and Mark working the leeboard winches and checking water depth.
