Sail cargo to London

A busy summer, preparing for the restoration work, but also planning our first sail cargo trip to London - the first into the city, we believe, in more than a generation.

Our adventures in sail powered trading, working with friends and allies New Dawn Traders of Bristol and Brighton based Sail Boat Project, have previously taken in ports along the south coast from Torquay to Newhaven, along with France, Holland and Germany.

Now our big ambition to bring a sail cargo ship back along the Thames is underway.

We're working with the Blue Schooner Company, whose Gallant ship has been in Porto loading more cargo from our heroic producers. We have olive oil, almonds, goji berries, olives, honey, port wine, tea and spices from our growing family of Portuguese farmers Marije van den BoogaardSoresa Trás-os-MontesAzeite CaixeiroEmilia ReigadoBe Aromatic. Already loaded on to the ship are coffee and chocolate brought over by the Fairtransport Tres Hombres ship.

Keep track on our social media for news of the arrival and landing parties - expecting Greenwich and Wapping in early October ....
